This README file for the Questa-Intel FPGA Edition software includes 
information that is not present in the Questa-Intel FPGA Edition User Guide. 

This README file contains the following sections:

Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software Version Compatibility
================================

Libraries provided in the <questa install path>/intel directory must be 
compatible with the version of the Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition software that you use to
create the simulation netlist.

To confirm that you have the correct version of libraries installed, use either of 
the following methods:

   -  Check the <questa_installation_directory>/intel/version.txt file.
   -  Run the following commands:

        cd <questa_installation_directory>/intel
        <questa_installation_directory>/windows64/vdir -l -lib <library_name>

        where <library_name> = agilex, stratix10, arria10, or cyclone10gx.
        Check the Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition software version in the 'Library 
        Version' tags.

Licensing Questa-Intel FPGA Edition software
============================================

Request a license file for Questa-Intel FPGA Edition sofware from the Intel 
FPGA Licensing Support Center at the following URL:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/support/support-resources/support-centers/licensing.html

Questa-Intel FPGA Edition software supports licenses using the Siemens* EDA 
license daemon 'mgcld'.

The mgcld daemon can be found in your Questa-Intel FPGA Edition installation
at the following location:
   Linux: <questa_installation_directory>/linux_x86_64/
   Windows: <questa_installation_ directory>\windows64\

Before you run Questa-Intel FPGA Edition, set your LM_LICENSE_FILE environment 
variable to the location and filename of the license file for Questa-Intel FPGA 
Edition. The LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable should be set to 
the location and file name of your license file (for example, 
c:\licenses\eda\license.dat) or with the port@host notation (for example, 
1900@set).
